Rooted in public transport
TransTec was founded by Uestra, the Public Transport company in the German city of Hannover. At the beginning of the eighties the Uestra introduced a new fully integrated Public Transport system consisting of light rail lines (Stadtbahn) and bus feeder services. Many players in the field of mobility both inside and outside of Germany were very interested in this new concept. Uestra decided to share its expertise in order to help others achieve better transport value too. Therefore a private consultancy company called TransTec was created in 1986. After an initial phase of development and consolidation within Germany TransTec became a renowned consultancy company with activities worldwide. The Dutch branch, TransTec Amsterdam, was set up in 1997.
Independent
At the end of 2002 TransTec Amsterdam gained independence from the German parent company and adopted a new name: TransTec adviseurs BV. At the beginning of 2009 TransTec was taken over by Fred van der Blij, Gertjan Kamerik and Rudy Schoonveld. Three partners with a solid reputation in the Dutch Public Transport scene. With strong backing of the TransTec team as a whole Fred, Gertjan en Rudy stand for independent advice on the highest possible quality level.
