Bert Vervoort
Bert graduated in 1970 from the Technical University of Delft with a degree in Electrical Engineering and Automated Traffic Systems. In 2003 Bert started working for TransTec as a senior consultant in a freelance capacity. He has played a key role in TransTec projects such as the Randstadrail lightrail system, the safety of the Amsterdam metro system and the RijnGouwelijn lightrail. Bert combines excellent language skills with a keen insight in public transport related strategic development, change management in public transport companies and authorities alike, system architecture of traffic and transport systems, safety systems and the development of management systems. Until 2003 Bert was managing director of the Amsterdam branch of the international TransTec Group. Before that he fulfilled several functions at TransTec Group and MOVE. From 1989 to 1993 he was the head of the department of Signalling and Telecommunications at RET municipal transport operator in Rotterdam and before this consecutively head of the Consulting Department of the Information and Data Processing Service and head of the Department of Traffic Regulation at the Transport Planning Service, both at the Dutch Ministry of Transport.
