Dominic de Vreeze
Dominic has obtained a degree in Urban Planning at the University of Amsterdam. His specialisation is mobility. His thesis deals with strategies to attract new customers to public transport by adopting a target group approach and introducing subtle stimulating measures.
In October 2008 he started working at TransTec as a consultant. Since then he has been involved in many very diverse projects, enabling him to acquire a wide knowledge base. For instance in the field of tendering and concessions. He is the co-author of the Best Practices in PT report which was written on behalf of the Dutch Ministry of Transport within the scope of the Olympic vision on the Dutch PT system. He did extensive work on the assessment of the trial with free public transport for the elderly in The Hague and edited the catalogue of the Regional Transport Stimulus Package on behalf of the Ministry of Transport. He also did research on the pros and cons of the Amsterdam tram conductor scheme. Within TransTec he plays a key role in the marketing department; the annual highlight being the publishing of the TransTec calendar.
The many projects he has worked on have given Dominic the chance to develop a wide knowledge base with accents in the areas of policy development, tenders, concessions, marketing and processes in PT. Dominic is an enthusiastic, driven and flexible consultant. He is a definite team player, but left to his own devices, he also succeeds in tackling challenges head on.
