Marieke Kruit
Marieke graduated in 1976 from the University of Delft with a degree in applied mathematics and a specialization in operations research. At later stages she followed several courses in the field of micro-economics, management and personal performance and development. Since 1999 she has focused on Mediation and is accredited by the Netherlands Mediation Institute as a mediator. Marieke has been working with Transtec in a freelance capacity since 2005. Her first assignment was the implementation of the smart travel card in the Utrecht Metropolitan Area, followed by the implementation management of a regional bus concession on behalf of the Rotterdam Transport Authority. In former functions Marieke had already acquired an impressive curriculum in public transport. As an operations manager for the Zuidtangent BRT scheme, as general manager at Hermes Group regional bus operator and as manager at Zuidooster Autobusdiensten bus operator. Marieke looks back on a long career in management. Her management skills were honed in organisations active in the field of public service. She is an expert in the field of change management and transition processes in public administrations and organisations that act in the grey zone between government and the private market. Her broad working experience has provided her a firsthand understanding of complex political and commercial issues.
