Robert Boot
Robert started working at TransTec as a senior consultant at the beginning of 2011. His first projects at TransTec gave him the opportunity to prove he truly is a jack-of-all-trades. On behalf of TransTec, he became a member of the bid team of a major international transport operator, helping to prepare a bid for an important multimodal PT franchise in the Netherlands. Some of the topics he worked on were the implementation plan and the quality management scheme. Shortly after that, he consulted on the tender of a demand-responsive transport system. To conclude the list of his early projects at TransTec, he worked on the operational aspects of a bid within the framework of an important DBFMO public private partnership in the field of urban public transport.
After obtaining a Degree in Urban Planning at the University of Amsterdam in 2001, Robert went to work as a project manager at the Transport Advisory Board of the Dutch Ministry of Transport (AVV), working on projects regarding public transport, mobility management and congestion-free cities. In 2003 he moved on to the Metropolitan Transit Authority of The Hague, applying himself to sustainable development, air quality, regional mobility policy and the regional master plan. From 2005 onwards, after a transfer to the Dutch Ministry of Transport, his talents were put to good use on a multitude of national mobility projects. He was acting secretary of the National Mobility Conference for three years. Starting in 2007 he became project manager for the nationwide new generation real-time PT information scheme. One of his proudest achievements is the National Dynamic PT Database, which in due time will enable intermodal real time passenger and traffic information throughout the Netherlands. Robert has a strong target-driven approach with a keen eye for the underlying facts and figures and a well-honed sense of political and administrative priorities and sensibilities. For him the teamwork approach is the way to go. He is committed to staying in touch with the newest developments and innovations.
