With the latest addition to our team, Maarten De Keijzer, Transtec has welcomed a very special PT specialist into its ranks. Someone who finds his way from the planning department of a regional bus company to the volcanoes and jungles of South America. A consultant with thorough knowledge of transport and mobility, but also affinities with les commons areas of expertise such as architecture for instance. Perhaps also the TransTec version of an iron man?

TransTec brochure presented to Parliamentary Committee
There are unfounded stories going around about the lack op proactive policies of the Dutch provinces in the area of public transport. The umbrella organization of the Dutch provinces (IPO) decided it was time to tackle this misconception and asked TransTec to draw up a concise brochure detailing the many success stories in provincial public transport. This brochure reveals the ins and outs of 12 provincial best practices. Copies of the brochure were handed out to the members of Parliamentary Committee on Transport on November 24th 2009.

TransTec delivers first piece of the Olympic puzzle
The Regional Transport Authorities and the Dutch Ministry of Transport are currently working on a comprehensive vision on the transport system of the future. This project is in fact quite specific. By 2028, the year in which the Netherlands might again organise the Olympic Games, the Netherlands are to be equipped with a state of the art PT system. TransTec was asked to write a report on current best practices in public transport around the world. This report will provide inspiration for the Olympic Vision which is to be ready in the course of 2010.
TransTec 3.0
TransTec used to be the Dutch subsidiary of a German consultancy company that originated from the municipal Transport company of Hannover in Germany. In 2002 the Dutch TransTec became independent and continued as Transtec adviseurs openbaar vervoer (TransTec Public Transport consultants). At the end of 2008 Hans Hilhorst, the main shareholder of TransTec decided it was time to broaden his horizons and sold his shares to Fred van der Blij, Gertjan Kamerik and Rudy Schoonveld. Three partners with a solid reputation on the Dutch PT scene. More information about them can be found under the header employees. In concert with the entire TransTec team, the partners of TransTec will make sure that TransTec continues to deliver top quality solutions that make sure our clients achieve their goals in the most sustainable of ways.
