Your four advantages

Here is what we deliver:

Absolute prime location

The TransTec Office & Conference is located within a stone’s throw distance from the Amsterdam Central Railway Station. You will be hard pressed to find other office or conference facilities in the Netherlands that are so easy and comfortable to reach. From just about every city in the Netherlands direct trains running every thirty minutes or more will bring you to our doorstep. International travellers can take a direct high speed train from Brussels, Cologne, Frankfurt and Paris. For those who prefer to travel by car, and underground car park is situated directly in front of our premises. Schiphol Airport is only 15 to 25 minutes away by taxi or train. So why not move your airport meetings away from the sterile and anonymous environment of the airport and meet in a stylish location that is just as easily reached? Within walking distance of the TransTec Office and Conference Centre you will find such touristic highlights as the Royal Palace, the Beurs van Berlage former stock exchange and the alleyways of the central district of the old town. The stately ring of canals starts just around the corner. Within 10 minutes easy walking distance eateries and restaurants in all price ranges and appealing to all tastes can be found.

Timeless charm and style

As soon as you enter the premises you will be transported back in time. The buildings which house the TransTec Office & Conference Centre dates back to 1650. They are called “the two princes” and started out as a fish warehouse and a coffee-roasting house. Only recently did they undergo a make-over to high end office space. The two princes are now located on the grand Prince Henry Quay, formerly called the Texel Quay. It was here that fish from the island of Texel arrived in Amsterdam. At that time Amsterdam still had direct access to the sea. During much of their history the buildings were owned by the Levelt family. In 1824 Simon Level bought the building at number 26 and turned it into a coffee-roasting facility. Later he acquired the building at number 25 and turned it into living quarters for his daughters. In this part of the building some exquisite frescos were added. At the end of the 19th century the buildings were thoroughly renovated and redecorated in Jugendstil. The coffee and tea business of the Levelt family flourished. In1972 the company wrote history by introducing aromatic tea to the Dutch market. In 1984 the company proved once again to be in the vanguard as it imported organic coffee to the Netherlands. Space was always tight in the two princes, so finally, the company had to relocate to a larger estate, and therefore sold the two princes in 1995. Subsequently the buildings were painstakingly renovated and transformed into modern office space.

Throughout the centuries many styles have left their marks in the buildings. Some elements were lost, but the original wooden staircase and monumental chimney were preserved. Many walls feature rich Jugendstil frescos. The grand conference room is exquisitely decorated.

The monumental staircase and richly decorated conference room provide the highlights of the building, but there are other pleasant and stylish notes. Diverse works of art are scattered around the premises and the entrance hall features a rotating photo art exhibition. This space is wonderfully suited for receptions or vernissages.

Unprecedented flexibility

You need office and/or conference space for one hour, one day, one month or one year? Then get in touch and we will work out a solution for you. If need be, on very short notice. For your meetings and conferences we can accommodate up to 12 persons. In the office space there is room for about 15 employees.

All modern amenities

The office space offers all the usual amenities. Air conditioning is available. An elevator provides excellent access, also for the mobility-impaired. There is a little kitchen and a shower. The grand conference room can only be reached with a little stairway and has no air conditioning. We apologize for these restrictions, which stem from the need to keep the historical value intact.

If your company is active outside the world of urban planning, transport and logistics, then there is a good chance you never heard of TransTec before. The other tenants of the building, like Apple and Lovers, need no introduction. Move in with us, and you’ll be in good company.
